Portland Kids Martial Arts - Congratulations to December’s Student of the Month, Trinity!

When Trinity’s not practicing martial arts in the gym, she’s often practicing martial arts at home. “Sometimes if I’m really angry I like to punch everywhere, or if I’m mad I like to kick stuff!” Since her brother is also in the youth program, and her father is in the adult program, she often gets to practice safely with them. Trinity really excels in Muay Thai and her favorite move is the Di knee, which is a knees used while in the clinch. “I could probably hit someone in the jaw!” She first started martial arts because her brother was bugging her to come to class. Once she saw her older brother doing she was inspired to try it out. After a couple of classes, she says she really liked it. In her spare time, Trinity also likes to read or play with her little sister.

Trinity is home schooled and she and her siblings have named their school “Sebranek Elementary.” She really enjoys it because “my mom gets to help us if we have any questions or anything. I don’t really have a favorite subject in school because sometimes they’re hard and sometimes they’re easy.”

Among other things, Trinity really enjoys Christian rap music, tortilla soup, the number 17 (which is her lucky number), winter time, Christmas and penguins. A little known fact about Trinity is that she can do the splits!

Remember, do your best, show discipline and focus in and out of class and you can be student of the month too.
