In this two disc set you will learn more than 90 sinawalis (strike patterns) to diversify your Eskrima training and expand upon an understanding of the basic striking angles and footwork. Pattern flows are a key component of your practice. They improve your co-ordination, your sense of timing and range, as well as your strength and conditioning. Most importantly we work a variety of sinawalis to become highly skilled at the wide range of effective strike combinations. Each flow is explained in step-by step detail by Mr. Patterson and demonstrated by he and his students, combined with a range of footwork options. Jeff Patterson has trained in the Filipino martial arts for 23+ years. He has had the good fortune to train in depth under several great masters for whom he has the utmost respect and gratitude. Mr. Patterson has taught martial arts in Oregon since 1988. He established his studio, Northwest Fighting Arts in Portland, Oregon in 1994. Northwest Fighting Arts is a multi-disciplinary training center whose purpose is to provide thorough instruction in a range of complementary arts including: Eskrima, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Western Boxing, Tai Chi Ch’uan and Qigong. Each of these arts is taught in it’s individual entirety. Northwest Fighting Arts maintains an active base of hundreds of members and has become a center in the Pacific Northwest for quality instruction in the martial arts.
